After eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge, Adam and Eve, for the first time, became aware of their nakedness and felt ashamed. What is the deeper meaning behind this feeling?
“Nature in itself is innocent. But the moment man becomes aware of it many problems arise, and what is natural and innocent is interpreted. And when it is interpreted it is neither innocent nor natural. Nature in itself is innocent.
But when humanity becomes aware of it man begins to interpret it, and the very interpretation begins to produce many concepts of guilt, of sin, of morality, of immorality.
“The story of Adam and Eve says that when the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge was eaten, for the first time they became aware of their nakedness and felt ashamed. They were naked, but they had never been aware of it. The awareness, the very awareness, creates a gap. The moment you are aware of something, you begin to judge. Then you are different from it. For example: Adam was naked. Everyone is born naked like Adam, but children are not aware of their nakedness. They cannot judge it – whether it is good or bad. They are not aware so they cannot judge. When Adam became aware that he was naked, judgment entered over whether this nakedness was good or bad.
“Every animal was naked around him, but no animal was aware of his nakedness. Adam became aware, and with this awareness Adam became unique.
Now to be naked was to be like an animal, and Adam, of course, would not like to be an animal. No man likes it, although every man is.”

Is it not human that man doesn’t like to be an animal?
“Our conditionings, from the very beginning, teach us that we have to be something more than nature, that just to be natural is to be animal; we have to be supernatural. And it seems very logical. All the religions have been teaching this – that to be man means going above nature – and they have convinced centuries of humanity to go above nature. Nobody has succeeded in going above nature. All that they have succeeded in, is destroying their natural, spontaneous beauty, their innocence.
“Man need not transcend nature.
“I say unto you, man has to fulfill nature – which no animal can do. That is the difference.
“The religions were cunning, cheating and deceiving people. They made the distinction that animals are natural and you have to be supernatural. No animal can do fasting; you cannot convince any animal that fasting is something divine. The animal only knows that it is hungry, and there is no difference between fasting and being hungry. You cannot convince any animal to go against nature.
“This gave an opportunity to the so-called religious people, because man has the capacity at least to fight against nature. He will never be victorious, but he can fight.
And in fighting he will not be destroying nature; he will be destroying only himself.
“That’s how man has destroyed himself – all his joy, all his love, all his grandeur – and has become not something higher than animals, but something lower, in every possible way.”

It looks like people are doing just the opposite of fulfilling nature?
“People talk of conquering nature, people talk of conquering this and that – how can you conquer nature? You are part of it. How can the part conquer the whole? See the foolishness of it, the stupidity. You can be with the whole in harmony, or you can be in conflict with the whole in disharmony. Disharmony results in misery; harmony results in bliss….
“Go with nature, don’t try to go upstream.
Go with the stream of life. Go with the river, don’t push the river.
“Don’t try to conquer nature – you cannot; you can only destroy it, and destroy yourself in the effort. The very idea of conquering nature is violent, ugly. Victory is not going to be against nature, victory is possible only with nature.”

What is the outcome of this urge to conquer nature?
“The whole idea, the Western idea, is how to conquer; even nature has to be conquered. And who are you? – a part of nature. A part is trying to conquer the whole. It is like your left hand trying to conquer your whole body. Is it possible? It is ridiculous. Science has not conquered nature, but in the very effort to conquer it, it has destroyed much….
“If the West has lost all bliss, all peace, nothing is responsible except this stupid idea of conquering nature. Nature has not to be conquered. But the same idea persists in many ways – in science, and even so-called religious people go on talking about willpower. Hundreds of books have been written on willpower. It is a sheer wastage, and not only a wastage but it is poisoning people’s minds. People like Dale Carnegie and Napoleon Hill go on poisoning: How to Win Friends and Influence People. Deep down the idea is the same: how to win, how to influence.
“Napoleon Hill has written a book: Think and Grow Rich. And what is the secret of growing rich? When you look, you will find it is willpower; the whole secret, the magic secret is willpower. But willpower is only another name for ego power – and ego is impotent, there is no power in it.
So people go on struggling unnecessarily, fighting with each other, competing with each other, and the end result is that everybody is miserable.”

Is our misery the inevitable outcome of this nexus between politicians and scientists?
“Politicians are the lowest kind as far as consciousness is concerned. They are clever, they are cunning, they are mean, too; and they make every effort for a single goal – how to be more powerful.
Their only desire is for more power – not for more peace, not for more being, not for more truth, not for more love.
“And what do you need more power for? – to dominate others, to destroy others. All the power accumulates in the hands of unconscious people. So, on the one hand, politicians in all the civilizations that have developed and died – it would be better to say have committed suicide – had all the power in their hands. And on the other hand, the genius of human intelligence was searching for more and more technological, scientific ways, and all that they discovered finally had to go into the hands of the politicians.”

So, it seems this lust for power, whether through science or politics, is the cause of so much destruction?
“This desire for power has created many things in the world. Science has come as a desire for power, and it has created power. But that power is destroying humanity. It has come to such a state that people like Albert Einstein feel that they have done a crime against humanity. In the last days of his life, somebody asked Albert Einstein, ‘If you were born again, what would you like to become?’
He said, ‘Never a physicist again, never a scientist. Rather, I would like to become a plumber.’
“He was a very sensitive man, very understanding. And only in the end could he understand that he has released so much energy, and he has made humanity aware of such a destructive force – atomic energy – that if humanity destroys itself, he is bound to be one of the most responsible persons.
“The very framework of science is to conquer nature. That is the very terminology of science – the conquest of nature. We have to overpower nature and we have to destroy all mysteries of nature, and we have to find all the keys of power, wherever it is. But the very idea takes you away from nature, makes you antagonistic to it, and becomes destructive.
The ecology of the earth has been destroyed by this power-seeking.
“In the outside, in the inside – both – the natural rhythm of life is disturbed.”

What is the fundamental mistake that the scientists have made?
“They developed great technologies, but they forgot that even the greatest technological progress is not going to make man more blissful, more peaceful, more loving, more compassionate.
Man’s consciousness has not grown with the same pace as his scientific progress, and that has been the cause of all the old civilizations destroying themselves.
“There was no outer cause, no outer enemy – the enemy was within man. He created monsters as far as machines are concerned, but he himself remained very retarded, unconscious, almost asleep. And it is very dangerous to give so much power to unconscious people.”

Why has this distortion of science happened?
“The reason is an imbalance in our evolution. We go on developing scientific technology without bothering at all that our consciousness should also evolve in the same proportion.
In fact, our consciousness should be a little ahead of our technological progress.
“If our consciousness were in the state of enlightenment… In the hands of a Gautam Buddha, nuclear weapons are no longer dangerous. In the hands of a Gautam Buddha, nuclear weapons will be turned into some creative force – because force is always neutral; either you can destroy with it or you can find ways to create something.
But right now our powers are great, and our humanity is very small. It is as if we have given bombs into the hands of children, to play with.”

What needs to happen to resolve this imbalance in our evolution?
Humanity is suffering from too much power. Technology, science – they have given immense power to man, and man is insane.
“Man has no meditativeness, no silence, no peace within himself. He knows nothing of awareness – hence we are standing on the verge. Any moment the world can plunge into a suicidal act, global suicide is possible.
“In the past, wars were never so dangerous. They were local. Now it is going to be a total war. It can consume not only humanity all the animals, trees, all life on this earth can evaporate within hours or even within minutes.
For the first time, humanity is in immense need of meditation, to balance what technology has given.”

Is there a solution to this potential catastrophe?
“If there is only one science about the objective reality, how can there be many religions about the inner reality, the subjective reality? If the objective truth is one – there is nothing like Hindu physics or Christian chemistry or Buddhist biology or Mohammedan mathematics. If the objective reality is one, whether you are experimenting in India or in Russia or in America, it makes no difference, you will come to the same conclusion. Then how can it be that the subjective reality is divided into three hundred religions?”

“If there is only one science, there can be only one religion. If one science is enough to explore the objective world, one religion is enough to explore the inner world of man. And that one religion need not have any adjective to it – Christianity, Hinduism, Taoism or anything.
“Just as science is simply science, religion is simply religion.
In fact, according to me, there is only one science with two dimensions: one dimension working on the outside world, the other dimension working on the inside world.
“We can even get rid of the word religion.
“This is a fundamental rule of science, that a minimum of hypotheses should be used. So why use two words? Just one word is enough. And science is a beautiful word, it means ‘knowing.’
Knowing the other is one aspect, knowing one’s self is another aspect; but knowing covers both.”

ज्ञान के वृक्ष का फल खाने के बाद, आदम और हव्वा को पहली बार अपनी नग्नता का बोध हुआ और वे लज्जित हुए। इस भावना के पीछे गहरा अर्थ क्या है?
“प्रकृति अपने आप में निर्दोष है। लेकिन जिस क्षण मनुष्य को इसके बारे में पता चलता है, कई समस्याएं पैदा हो जाती हैं, और जो स्वाभाविक और निर्दोष है, उसकी व्याख्या की जाती है। और जब इसकी व्याख्या की जाती है तो यह न तो निर्दोष होता है और न ही स्वाभाविक। प्रकृति अपने आप में निर्दोष है। लेकिन जब मानवता इसके बारे में जागरूक हो जाती है तो मनुष्य इसकी व्याख्या करना शुरू कर देता है, और यह व्याख्या ही अपराधबोध, पाप, नैतिकता, अनैतिकता की कई अवधारणाओं को उत्पन्न करना शुरू कर देती है।

प्रकृति पर विजय पाने की इस ललक का परिणाम क्या है?
“पूरा विचार, पश्चिमी विचार, यह है कि कैसे विजय प्राप्त की जाए; प्रकृति को भी जीतना है। और आप कौन हें? – प्रकृति का एक हिस्सा। एक हिस्सा पूरे को जीतने की कोशिश कर रहा है। यह ऐसा ही है जैसे आपका बायां हाथ आपके पूरे शरीर को जीतने की कोशिश कर रहा हो। क्या ऐसा संभव है? यह हास्यास्पद है। विज्ञान ने प्रकृति पर विजय प्राप्त नहीं की है, लेकिन उस पर विजय प्राप्त करने के प्रयास में ही उसने बहुत कुछ नष्ट कर दिया है…
“यदि पश्चिम ने सभी आनंद, सभी शांति खो दी है, तो प्रकृति पर विजय प्राप्त करने के इस मूर्खतापूर्ण विचार के अलावा कुछ भी जिम्मेदार नहीं है। प्रकृति को जीतना नहीं है। लेकिन वही विचार कई तरह से बना रहता है – विज्ञान में, और यहां तक कि तथाकथित धार्मिक लोग भी इच्छाशक्ति की बात करते रहते हैं। इच्छाशक्ति पर सैकड़ों किताबें लिखी जा चुकी हैं। यह सरासर अपव्यय है, और केवल अपव्यय ही नहीं अपितु यह लोगों के मन में विष घोल रहा है। डेल कार्नेगी और नेपोलियन हिल जैसे लोग ज़हर देते हैं: हाउ टू विन फ्रेंड्स एंड इन्फ्लुएंस पीपुल। गहरे में विचार एक ही है: कैसे जीतें, कैसे प्रभावित करें।
“नेपोलियन हिल ने एक किताब लिखी है: सोचो और अमीर बनो। और अमीर बनने का राज क्या है? जब आप देखेंगे, तो आप पाएंगे कि यह इच्छाशक्ति है; पूरा रहस्य, जादू का रहस्य इच्छाशक्ति है। लेकिन इच्छाशक्ति अहंकार की शक्ति का ही दूसरा नाम है- और अहंकार नपुंसक है, उसमें कोई शक्ति नहीं है। इसलिए लोग अनावश्यक रूप से संघर्ष करते चले जाते हैं, एक दूसरे से लड़ते हैं, एक दूसरे से प्रतिस्पर्धा करते हैं, और अंतिम परिणाम यह होता है कि हर कोई दुखी होता है।“

वैज्ञानिकों ने कौन सी मूलभूत गलती की है?
“उन्होंने महान प्रौद्योगिकियां विकसित कीं, लेकिन वे भूल गए कि सबसे बड़ी तकनीकी प्रगति भी मनुष्य को अधिक आनंदमय, अधिक शांतिपूर्ण, अधिक प्रेमपूर्ण, अधिक करुणापूर्ण नहीं बनाने वाली है।
“मनुष्य की चेतना उसकी वैज्ञानिक प्रगति के समान गति से विकसित नहीं हुई है, और यही कारण रहा है कि सभी पुरानी सभ्यताएँ स्वयं को नष्ट कर रही हैं। कोई बाहरी कारण नहीं था, कोई बाहरी शत्रु नहीं था – शत्रु मनुष्य के भीतर था। जहां तक मशीनों का संबंध है, उसने राक्षस पैदा किए, लेकिन वह खुद बहुत मंदबुद्धि, बेहोश, करीब-करीब सोया हुआ रहा। और बेहोश लोगों को इतनी ताकत देना बहुत खतरनाक है।

विज्ञान की यह विकृति क्यों हुई है?

Después de comer el fruto del árbol del conocimiento, Adán y Eva, por primera vez, se dieron cuenta de su desnudez y se sintieron avergonzados. ¿Cuál es el significado más profundo detrás de este sentimiento?
“La naturaleza en sí misma es inocente. Pero en el momento en que el ser humano se da cuenta de ello, surgen muchos problemas, y se interpreta lo que es natural e inocente. Y cuando se interpreta ya no es inocente ni natural. La naturaleza en sí misma es inocente. ¿No es humano que al ser humano no le guste ser un animal?
“Nuestros condicionamientos, desde el principio, nos enseñan que tenemos que ser algo más que naturaleza, que ser natural simplemente, es ser animal; tenemos que ser sobrenaturales. No se puede convencer a ningún animal para que vaya en contra de la naturaleza.
Esto dio una oportunidad a las llamadas personas religiosas, porque el ser humano tiene la capacidad al menos de luchar contra la naturaleza. Nunca saldrá victorioso, pero puede luchar. Y en la lucha no estará destruyendo la naturaleza; se destruirá únicamente a sí mismo.
Así es como el ser humano se ha destruido a sí mismo -todo su gozo, todo su amor, toda su grandeza- y se ha convertido no en algo superior a los animales, sino en algo inferior, de todas las maneras posibles”.

¿Está la gente al parecer, haciendo justo lo contrario de satisfacer a la naturaleza?

¿Cuál es el resultado de este afán de conquistar la naturaleza?
“Toda la idea, la idea occidental, está puesta en conquistar. Incluso la naturaleza tiene que ser conquistada. ¿Y quién eres?; una parte de la naturaleza. Una parte está tratando de conquistar el todo. Es como si tu mano izquierda tratara de conquistar todo tu cuerpo. ¿Es posible? Es ridículo. Si Occidente ha perdido toda la dicha, toda la paz, no hay otra responsabilidad, salvo esta estúpida idea de conquistar la naturaleza. La naturaleza no tiene que ser conquistada. Pero la misma idea persiste de muchas maneras: en la ciencia, e incluso las llamadas personas religiosas siguen hablando de fuerza de voluntad. Se han escrito cientos de libros sobre la fuerza de voluntad. Es un puro desperdicio, y no sólo un desperdicio, sino que se está envenenando las mentes de las personas. Personas como Dale Carnegie y Napoleón Hill siguen envenenando: Cómo ganar amigos e influir en las personas. En el fondo la idea es la misma: cómo ganar, cómo influir.
Napoleón Hill ha escrito un libro: Piensa y hazte rico. ¿Y cuál es el secreto para hacerse rico? Cuando mires, encontrarás que es la fuerza de voluntad; todo el secreto, el secreto mágico está en la fuerza de voluntad. Pero la fuerza de voluntad es sólo otro nombre para el poder del ego, y el ego es impotente, no hay poder en él. Así que la gente sigue luchando innecesariamente, peleándose entre sí, compitiendo entre sí, y el resultado final es que todo mundo es miserable”.

¿Es nuestra miseria el resultado inevitable de este nexo entre políticos y científicos?
“Los políticos son del orden más bajo en lo que respecta a la conciencia. Son inteligentes, son astutos, también son miserables. Entonces, ¿puede ser que esta lujuria por el poder, ya sea a través de la ciencia o la política, sea la causa de tanta destrucción?
“Este deseo de poder ha creado muchas cosas en el mundo. La ciencia ha llegado como un deseo de poder, y ha creado poder. Pero ese poder está destruyendo a la humanidad. Ha llegado a tal estado, que personas como Albert Einstein sienten que han cometido un crimen contra la humanidad. En los últimos días de su vida, alguien le preguntó a Albert Einstein: ‘Si nacieras de nuevo, ¿en qué te gustaría convertirte?’

Y sólo al final pudo entender que había liberado tanta energía, y que había hecho a la humanidad consciente de una fuerza tan destructiva, la energía atómica, que si la humanidad se destruye a sí misma, él está destinado a ser una de las personas más responsables.
El esquema mismo de la ciencia es conquistar la naturaleza. Esa es la terminología misma de la ciencia: la conquista de la naturaleza. Tenemos que dominar a la naturaleza y tenemos que destruir todos los misterios de la naturaleza, y tenemos que encontrar todas las claves del poder, dondequiera que esté. Pero la idea misma te aleja de la naturaleza, te vuelve antagónico con ella y esto se vuelve algo destructivo. La ecología de la tierra ha sido destruida por esta búsqueda de poder. ¿Cuál es el error fundamental que han cometido los científicos?
“Han desarrollado grandes tecnologías, pero olvidaron que incluso el mayor de los progresos tecnológicos no va a hacer al ser humano más dichoso, más pacífico, más amoroso, más compasivo.
La conciencia del ser humano no ha crecido al mismo ritmo que su progreso científico, y esa ha sido la causa de que todas las viejas civilizaciones se hayan destruido a sí mismas. No había causa externa, ni enemigo externo, el enemigo estaba dentro del ser humano. Ha creado monstruos en lo que respecta a las máquinas, pero él mismo permaneció muy retrasado, inconsciente, casi dormido. Y es muy peligroso dar tanto poder a personas inconscientes”.

¿Por qué se ha dado esta distorsión de la ciencia?
“Se debe a un desequilibrio en nuestra evolución. Seguimos desarrollando tecnología científica sin preocuparnos en absoluto de que nuestra conciencia también evolucione en la misma proporción. De hecho, nuestra conciencia debería estar un poco por delante de nuestro progreso tecnológico.
Si nuestra conciencia estuviera en el estado de iluminación… En manos de un Buda Gautama, las armas nucleares ya no serían peligrosas. En manos de un Buda Gautama, las armas nucleares se convertirían en una fuerza creativa, porque la fuerza es siempre neutral; o puedes destruir con ella o puedes encontrar formas de crear algo. Pero en este momento nuestros poderes son grandes, y nuestra humanidad es muy pequeña. Es como si hubiéramos puesto las bombas en las manos de los niños, para que jueguen”.

¿Qué tiene que suceder para que se resuelva este desequilibrio en nuestra evolución?

Entonces, ¿cómo puede ser que la realidad subjetiva esté dividida en trescientas religiones?”

“Si hay una sola ciencia, puede haber una sola religión. Si una ciencia es suficiente para explorar el mundo objetivo, una religión es suficiente para explorar el mundo interior del hombre. Y esa religión no necesita tener ningún adjetivo: cristianismo, hinduismo, taoísmo o lo que sea.
Así como la ciencia es simplemente ciencia, la religión es simplemente religión. De hecho, a mi parecer, sólo hay una ciencia con dos dimensiones: Una dimensión que trabaja en el mundo exterior, la otra dimensión que trabaja en el mundo interior. Incluso podemos deshacernos de la palabra religión.

La natura in sé è innocente, ma quando l’umanità ne prende coscienza l’uomo comincia a giudicarla e il giudizio introduce concetti come colpa, peccato, moralità, immoralità.
La storia di Adamo ed Eva racconta che, dopo aver mangiato il frutto dell’albero della conoscenza, per la prima volta si resero conto della propria nudità e ne provarono vergogna. Erano nudi, ma non se ne erano mai accorti. La consapevolezza, la consapevolezza stessa, crea una percezione diversa. Nel momento in cui sei consapevole di qualcosa, inizi a giudicare. Inizi a sentirti diverso. Ad esempio: Adamo era nudo. Tutti nascono nudi come Adamo, ma i bambini non sono consapevoli della propria nudità. Non possono giudicare se è buona o cattiva. Non ne sono consapevoli, quindi non possono giudicarla. Quando Adamo si rese conto di essere nudo, iniziò a chiedersi se fosse buona o cattiva.
Attorno a lui ogni animale era nudo, ma nessun animale era cosciente della propria nudità. Adamo ne divenne consapevole e, grazie a questa consapevolezza, divenne unico. Adesso, essere nudo significava essere come un animale e ad Adamo, naturalmente, non piaceva essere un animale. A nessun uomo piace, anche se ogni uomo lo è.”

È umano che all’uomo non piaccia essere un animale?
“Da sempre, i nostri condizionamenti, ci insegnano che dobbiamo essere qualcosa di più della natura, che, essere naturali è essere animali; dobbiamo essere soprannaturali. Sembra molto logico. Tutte le religioni insegnano questo – che, essere uomo significa essere al di sopra della natura – e hanno convinto per secoli l’umanità ad essere al di sopra della natura. Nessuno è riuscito a dominare la natura. Tutto quello che siamo riusciti a fare è distruggere la naturale, spontanea bellezza, l’innocenza.
L’uomo non ha bisogno di trascendere la natura.
Io vi dico che l’uomo deve realizzare le leggi della natura, cosa che nessun animale può fare. Questa è la differenza.
Le religioni sono state astute, hanno imbrogliato e ingannato la gente. Hanno fatto distinzione fra gli animali che sono naturali e voi, che dovete essere soprannaturali. Nessun animale può digiunare; non puoi convincere un animale che il digiuno è qualcosa di divino. L’animale sa solo che ha fame, e non c’è differenza tra il digiuno ed essere affamati. Non puoi convincere un animale ad andare contro natura.
Questo ha dato spazio ai cosiddetti religiosi e l’uomo ha preso la decisione di lottare contro la natura. L’uomo non sarà mai vittorioso, può combattere e con il combattimento, non distruggerà la natura, distruggerà solo sé stesso.
È così che l’uomo ha distrutto sé stesso – ha distrutto tutta la gioia, tutto l’amore e la propria grandezza – e non è diventato qualcosa di superiore agli animali, ma qualcosa di inferiore.”

Le persone non realizzano la natura e fanno esattamente l’opposto?
“La gente parla di conquistare la natura, la gente parla di conquistare questo e quello – ma come puoi conquistare la natura? Ne fai parte. Come può la parte conquistare il tutto? La vittoria non sarà contro la natura, la vittoria è possibile solo con la natura.”

Quali sono le conseguenze della voglia di conquistare la natura?
“La fissazione, l’idea occidentale, è come conquistare; anche la natura deve essere conquistata. E chi sei tu? – sei una parte della natura. Una parte che cerca di conquistare il tutto. Centinaia di libri sono stati scritti sulla forza di volontà. È un puro spreco e non solo uno spreco, avvelena la mente delle persone. Persone come Dale Carnegie e Napoleon Hill continuano a diffondere veleno: How to Win Friends and Influence People? In fondo l’idea è la stessa: come vincere, come influenzare.
Napoleon Hill ha scritto un libro: Think and Grow Rich. Se indaghi, scopri che l’intero segreto è la forza di volontà, il segreto magico è la forza di volontà. Ma la forza di volontà è solo un altro nome per potere dell’ego – e l’ego è impotente, non ha potere. Quindi le persone continuano a lottare inutilmente, a litigare tra loro, a competere tra loro e il risultato finale è che tutti sono infelici.”

La nostra miseria è quindi l’inevitabile conseguenza del nesso tra i politici e gli scienziati?
“I politici sono la specie più bassa per quanto riguarda la consapevolezza. Sono intelligenti, sono astuti, sono anche cattivi e fanno ogni sforzo con un unico obiettivo: come diventare più potenti. Il loro unico desiderio è ottenere più potere – non più pace, non più essere, non più verità, non più amore.

Quindi, la brama di potere, della scienza o della politica è la causa di tanta distruzione?
“Questo desiderio di potere ha avuto molte conseguenze nel mondo. La scienza è nata come desiderio di potere e ha creato potere. Ma quel potere sta distruggendo l’umanità. È arrivato a un punto tale che persone come Albert Einstein sentono di aver commesso un crimine contro l’umanità. Negli ultimi giorni di vita, qualcuno chiese ad Albert Einstein: ’Se rinascessi, cosa vorresti diventare?’
Rispose: ’Mai più un fisico, mai più uno scienziato. Piuttosto, mi piacerebbe diventare un idraulico.’
Era un uomo molto sensibile, di grande comprensione. Solo alla fine comprese di aver messo a disposizione dell’umanità una energia tale, capace di una tale forza distruttiva – l’energia atomica, appunto – e che se l’umanità si fosse autodistrutta, lui sarebbe stato uno dei maggiori responsabili.
Lo scopo stesso della scienza è conquistare la natura. Questa è proprio la terminologia usata dalla scienza: la conquista della natura. Dobbiamo dominare la natura e dobbiamo distruggere tutti i suoi misteri e dobbiamo trovare tutte le chiavi del potere, in qualunque campo. Qual è l’errore fondamentale commesso dagli scienziati?

La coscienza dell’uomo non è cresciuta allo stesso ritmo del suo progresso scientifico e questa è stata la causa della distruzione di tutte le antiche civiltà. Perché è avvenuta questa distorsione della scienza?

Come risolvere questo squilibrio nella nostra evoluzione?

Se una scienza è sufficiente per esplorare il mondo oggettivo, una religione è sufficiente per esplorare il mondo interiore dell’uomo. “A natureza em si é inocente. Mas no momento em que o humano se dá conta disso, muitos problemas surgem, e o que é natural e inocente é interpretado. E quando é interpretado não é inocente nem natural. A natureza em si é inocente. Mas quando a humanidade toma consciência disso, o humano começa a interpretá-lo, e a própria interpretação começa a produzir muitos conceitos de culpa, de pecado, de moralidade, de imoralidade.
A história de Adão e Eva diz que quando o fruto da Árvore do Conhecimento foi comido, pela primeira vez eles perceberam sua nudez e sentiram vergonha. Eles estavam nus, mas nunca tinham percebido isso. A consciência, a própria consciência, cria uma lacuna. No momento em que você está ciente de algo, você começa a julgar. Então você é diferente dele. Por exemplo: Adão estava nu. Todos nascem nus como Adão, mas as crianças não têm consciência de sua nudez. Eles não podem julgá-lo – se é bom ou ruim. Eles não estão cientes, então não podem julgar. Quando Adão percebeu que estava nu, entrou em julgamento se essa nudez era boa ou má.
Todos os animais estavam nus ao seu redor, mas nenhum animal estava ciente de sua nudez. Adão tornou-se consciente e, com essa consciência, Adão tornou-se único. Agora, estar nu era ser como um animal, e Adão, é claro, não gostaria de ser um animal. Nenhum humano gosta disso, embora todo humano esteja nu.”

“Nossos condicionamentos, desde o início, nos ensinam que temos que ser algo mais do que a natureza, que ser natural é ser animal; temos que ser sobrenaturais. E parece muito lógico. Todas as religiões têm ensinado isso – que ser homem significa ir acima da natureza – e eles convenceram séculos da humanidade a ir acima da natureza. Ninguém conseguiu ir além da natureza. Tudo o que eles conseguiram foi destruir sua beleza natural e espontânea, sua inocência.
O humano não precisa transcender a natureza.
Eu vos digo, o humano tem que preencher a natureza – o que nenhum animal pode fazer. Essa é a diferença.
As religiões eram astutas, fraudando e enganando as pessoas. Elas fizeram a distinção de que os animais são naturais e você tem que ser sobrenatural. Nenhum animal pode fazer jejum; você não pode convencer nenhum animal de que o jejum é algo divino. O animal só sabe que está com fome, e não há diferença entre jejuar e estar com fome. Você não pode convencer nenhum animal a ir contra a natureza.
Isso deu uma oportunidade aos chamados religiosos, porque o humano tem a capacidade de lutar pelo menos contra a natureza. Ele nunca será vitorioso, mas pode lutar. E ao lutar ele não estará destruindo a natureza; ele estará destruindo apenas a si mesmo.
Foi assim que o humano destruiu a si mesmo – toda a sua alegria, todo o seu amor, toda a sua grandeza – e se tornou não algo superior aos animais, mas algo inferior, de todas as maneiras possíveis.”

Veja a tolice disso, a estupidez. Você pode estar com o todo em harmonia ou pode estar em conflito com o todo em desarmonia. A desarmonia resulta em miséria; harmonia resulta em bem-aventurança, em êxtase…
Entre em sintonia com a natureza, não tente ir rio acima, contra a corrente do rio. Siga a corrente da vida. Vá no fluxo do rio, não empurre o rio. Não tente conquistar a natureza – você não pode; você só pode destruí-lo e destruir a si mesmo no esforço. A própria ideia de conquistar a natureza é violenta, feia. A vitória não será contra a natureza, a vitória só é possível com a natureza.”

Qual é o resultado desse desejo de conquistar a natureza?
“Toda a ideia, a ideia ocidental, é como conquistar; até a natureza tem que ser conquistada. E quem é você? – uma parte da natureza. Uma parte está tentando conquistar o todo. É como se sua mão esquerda tentasse conquistar todo o seu corpo. É possível? É ridículo. A ciência não conquistou a natureza, mas no próprio esforço para conquistá-la, ela destruiu muito….
Se o Ocidente perdeu toda o êxtase, toda a paz, nada é responsável, exceto essa ideia estúpida de conquistar a natureza. A natureza não tem que ser conquistada. Mas a mesma ideia persiste de muitas maneiras – na ciência, e mesmo os chamados religiosos continuam falando sobre força de vontade. Centenas de livros foram escritos sobre força de vontade. É um puro desperdício, e não apenas um desperdício, mas está envenenando a mente das pessoas. Pessoas como Dale Carnegie e Napoleon Hill continuam envenenando: Como fazer amigos e influenciar pessoas. No fundo a ideia é a mesma: como vencer, como influenciar.
Napoleon Hill escreveu um livro: Pense e Enriqueça. E qual é o segredo de ficar rico? Quando você olhar, descobrirá que é força de vontade; todo o segredo, o segredo mágico é a força de vontade. Mas a força de vontade é apenas outro nome para o poder do ego – e o ego é impotente, não há poder nele. Então as pessoas continuam lutando desnecessariamente, brigando umas com as outras, competindo umas com as outras, e o resultado final é que todo mundo é miserável, infeliz.”

Nossa miséria é o resultado inevitável desse nexo entre políticos e cientistas?
“Os políticos são o tipo mais baixo no que diz respeito à consciência. Eles são espertos, são astutos, são maus também; e eles fazem todos os esforços para um único objetivo – como ser mais poderoso. Seu único desejo é por mais poder – não por mais paz, não por mais ser, não por mais verdade, não por mais amor.
E para que você precisa de mais poder? – para dominar os outros, para destruir os outros. Todo o poder se acumula nas mãos de pessoas inconscientes. Assim, por um lado, os políticos de todas as civilizações que se desenvolveram e morreram – seria melhor dizer que se suicidaram – tinham todo o poder em suas mãos. Então, parece que essa ânsia de poder, seja pela ciência ou pela política, é a causa de tanta destruição?
“Esse desejo de poder criou muitas coisas no mundo. A ciência surgiu como um desejo de poder e criou o poder. Mas esse poder está destruindo a humanidade. Chegou a tal estado que pessoas como Albert Einstein sentem que cometeram um crime contra a humanidade. Nos últimos dias de sua vida, alguém perguntou a Albert Einstein: ‘Se você nascesse de novo, o que gostaria de ser?’
Ele disse: ‘Nunca mais um físico, nunca mais um cientista. Em vez disso, gostaria de ser um encanador.’
Ele era um homem muito sensível, muito compreensivo. E só no final ele pôde entender que liberou tanta energia e tornou a humanidade consciente de uma força tão destrutiva – a energia atômica – que se a humanidade se destruir, ele será um dos maiores responsáveis.
A própria estrutura da ciência é conquistar a natureza. Essa é a própria terminologia da ciência – a conquista da natureza. Temos que dominar a natureza e temos que destruir todos os mistérios da natureza, e temos que encontrar todas as chaves do poder, onde quer que esteja. Mas a própria ideia o afasta da natureza, o torna antagônico a ela e se torna destrutivo. A ecologia da terra foi destruída por essa busca de poder. Por fora, por dentro – ambos – o ritmo natural da vida é perturbado.”

“Eles desenvolveram grandes tecnologias, mas esqueceram que mesmo o maior progresso tecnológico não vai tornar o humano mais feliz, mais extático, mais pacífico, mais amoroso, mais compassivo.
A consciência do humano não cresceu no mesmo ritmo de seu progresso científico, e essa foi a causa de todas as antigas civilizações se destruírem. Não havia causa externa, nenhum inimigo externo – o inimigo estava dentro do homem. Ele criou monstros no que diz respeito às máquinas, mas ele próprio permaneceu muito retardado, inconsciente, quase adormecido. E é muito perigoso dar tanto poder a pessoas inconscientes.”

Mas agora nossos poderes são grandes e nossa humanidade é muito pequena. É como se tivéssemos colocado bombas nas mãos das crianças para brincarem.”

“История Адама и Евы гласит, что отведав плод с Древа познания, они впервые узрели свою наготу и пристыдились. Они были нагими, никогда не осознавая этого. Осознание, сам факт осознания, создаёт различие. Как только вы осознаёте что-то, вы начинаете судить, и тогда вы отличаетесь от этого. Например: Адам был наг. Все рождаются нагими, как Адам, но дети не осознают своей наготы. Они не могут судить об этом – хорошо это или плохо. Они не знают, поэтому не могут судить. Когда Адам понял, что он наг, он начал судить: хороша нагота или плоха.

“Я говорю: человек должен дать природе максимально раскрыться – вот на это не способно ни одно животное. В этом и находится разница.
“Религии хитрили, обманывали и предавали людей. Они создали различие между естественностью животных и вашей задачей быть сверхъестественными. Ни одно животное не станет поститься – вы не сможете убедить ни одно животное, что пост – это нечто божественное. Животное знает только то, что оно голодно, и для него нет никакой разницы между постом и голодом. Вы не сможете убедить ни одно животное пойти против природы.
“Это дало шанс возникнуть так называемым религиозным людям, потому что у человека есть способность, по крайней мере, бороться с природой. Он никогда не будет победителем, но он может бороться. Хотя, в борьбе он не уничтожит природу – он будет разрушать только себя.

Après avoir mangé le fruit de l’arbre de la connaissance, Adam et Ève ont, pour la première fois, pris conscience de leur nudité et ont éprouvé la honte. Quelle est la signification profonde de ce sentiment ?
« La nature en elle-même est innocente. Mais dès que l’homme en prend conscience, de nombreux problèmes apparaissent, et ce qui est naturel et innocent est interprété. Et lorsqu’elle est interprétée, elle n’est ni innocente ni naturelle. La nature en elle-même est innocente. Mais lorsque l’homme en prend conscience, il se met à l’interpréter, et cette interprétation même commence à produire de nombreux concepts de culpabilité, de péché, de moralité, d’immoralité.
L’histoire d’Adam et Ève raconte que lorsqu’ils ont mangé le fruit de l’arbre de la connaissance, ils ont pris conscience pour la première fois de leur nudité et ont eu honte. Ils étaient nus, mais ils n’en avaient jamais eu conscience. La prise de conscience, la prise de conscience même, crée un vide. Dès que tu es conscient de quelque chose, tu te mets à juger. Tu es donc différent de cette chose. Par exemple : Adam était nu. Tout le monde naît nu comme Adam, mais les enfants n’ont pas conscience de leur nudité. Ils ne peuvent pas la juger – si elle est bonne ou mauvaise. Ils ne sont pas conscients, donc ils ne peuvent pas juger. Lorsque Adam a pris conscience qu’il était nu, le jugement est entré en jeu pour savoir si cette nudité était bonne ou mauvaise.
Tous les animaux étaient nus autour de lui, mais aucun animal n’était conscient de sa nudité. Adam a pris conscience, et avec cette conscience, Adam est devenu unique. Maintenant, être nu, c’était être comme un animal, et Adam, bien sûr, n’aimerait pas être un animal. Aucun homme n’aime cela, bien que chaque homme le soit. »

N’est-ce pas humain que l’homme n’aime pas être un animal ?
« Nos conditionnements, dès le début, nous enseignent que nous devons être quelque chose de plus que la nature, que le simple fait d’être naturel revient à être animal ; nous devons être surnaturels. Et cela semble très logique. Toutes les religions ont enseigné cela – qu’être un homme signifie surpasser la nature – et elles ont convaincu des siècles d’humanité de surpasser la nature. Personne n’a réussi à surpasser la nature. Tout ce qu’ils ont réussi à faire, c’est détruire leur beauté naturelle et spontanée, leur innocence.
L’homme n’a pas besoin de transcender la nature.
Je te le dis, l’homme doit combler la nature, ce qu’aucun animal ne peut faire. C’est là toute la différence.
Les religions étaient rusées, elles trompaient les gens. Elles faisaient la distinction entre les animaux qui sont naturels et toi qui dois être surnaturel. Aucun animal ne peut faire de jeûne ; tu ne peux pas convaincre un animal que le jeûne est quelque chose de divin. L’animal sait seulement qu’il a faim et il n’y a aucune différence entre jeûner et avoir faim. Tu ne peux convaincre aucun animal d’aller contre la nature.
Cela a donné une opportunité aux personnes soi-disant religieuses, car l’homme a au moins la capacité de se battre contre la nature. Il ne sera jamais victorieux, mais il peut se battre. Et en se battant, il ne détruira pas la nature ; il ne détruira que lui-même.
C’est ainsi que l’homme s’est détruit lui-même – toute sa joie, tout son amour, toute sa grandeur – et qu’il est devenu non pas quelque chose de supérieur aux animaux, mais quelque chose d’inférieur, de toutes les manières possibles. »

On dirait que les gens font exactement le contraire de combler la nature ?
« Les gens parlent de conquérir la nature, les gens parlent de conquérir ceci et cela – comment peux-tu conquérir la nature ? Tu en fais partie. Comment la partie peut-elle conquérir le tout ? Vois la folie de tout cela, la stupidité. Tu peux être avec le tout en harmonie ou tu peux être en conflit avec le tout en désharmonie. La désharmonie entraîne la misère ; l’harmonie entraîne la félicité…
Va avec la nature, n’essaie pas de remonter le courant. Va avec le courant de la vie. Va avec la rivière, ne pousse pas la rivière. N’essaie pas de conquérir la nature – tu ne peux pas ; tu ne peux que la détruire, et te détruire toi-même dans cet effort. L’idée même de conquérir la nature est violente, laide. La victoire ne se fera pas contre la nature, la victoire n’est possible qu’avec la nature. »

Quel est le résultat de cette envie de conquérir la nature ?
« Toute l’idée, l’idée occidentale, c’est comment conquérir ; même la nature doit être conquise. Et qui es-tu ? – une partie de la nature. Une partie essaie de conquérir le tout. C’est comme si ta main gauche essayait de conquérir tout ton corps. Est-ce possible ? C’est ridicule. La science n’a pas conquis la nature, mais dans l’effort même de la conquérir, elle a beaucoup détruit…
Si l’Occident a perdu toute félicité, toute paix, rien n’est responsable, si ce n’est cette idée stupide de conquérir la nature. La nature ne doit pas être conquise. Mais la même idée persiste de bien des façons – dans la science et même les soi-disant religieux continuent de parler de volonté. Des centaines de livres ont été écrits sur la volonté. C’est un pur gaspillage et non seulement un gaspillage, mais cela empoisonne l’esprit des gens. Des gens comme Dale Carnegie et Napoléon Hill continuent à empoisonner : Comment se faire des amis (et influencer les gens). Au fond, l’idée est la même : comment gagner, comment influencer.
Napoléon Hill a écrit un livre : Pensez et devenez riche. Et quel est le secret pour devenir riche ? Si tu cherches, tu verras que c’est la volonté ; tout le secret, le secret magique, c’est la volonté. Mais la volonté n’est qu’un autre nom pour le pouvoir de l’ego – et l’ego est impuissant, il n’a aucun pouvoir en lui-même. Alors les gens continuent à lutter inutilement, à se battre les uns contre les autres, à être en compétition les uns avec les autres, et le résultat final est que tout le monde est malheureux. »

Notre misère est-elle le résultat inévitable de ce lien entre les politiciens et les scientifiques ?
« Les politiciens sont de la plus basse catégorie en ce qui concerne la conscience. Ils sont intelligents, ils sont rusés, ils sont aussi mal intentionnés ; et ils font tous les efforts possibles pour un seul objectif : comment être plus puissant. Leur seul désir est d’avoir plus de pouvoir – pas plus de paix, pas plus d’être, pas plus de vérité, pas plus d’amour.
Et pour quoi avez-vous besoin de plus de pouvoir ? : pour dominer les autres, pour détruire les autres. Tout le pouvoir s’accumule dans les mains de personnes inconscientes. Ainsi, d’un côté, les politiciens de toutes les civilisations qui se sont développées et qui sont mortes – il vaudrait mieux dire qui se sont suicidées – avaient tout le pouvoir dans leurs mains. Et d’un autre côté, le génie de l’intelligence humaine cherchait des moyens de plus en plus technologiques, scientifiques, et tout ce qu’ils ont découvert a finalement dû tomber entre les mains des politiciens. »

Il semble donc que cette soif de pouvoir, que ce soit par la science ou la politique, soit la cause de tant de destruction ?
« Ce désir de pouvoir a engendré de nombreuses choses dans le monde. La science est apparue comme un désir de pouvoir et elle a créé du pouvoir. Mais ce pouvoir est en train de détruire l’humanité. Il en est arrivé à un tel point que des gens comme Albert Einstein ont le sentiment d’avoir commis un crime contre l’humanité. Dans les derniers jours de sa vie, quelqu’un a demandé à Albert Einstein : « Si vous étiez né à nouveau, qu’aimeriez-vous devenir ? ».
Il a répondu : « Plus jamais un physicien, plus jamais un scientifique. J’aimerais plutôt devenir un plombier. »
C’était un homme très sensible, très compréhensif. Et ce n’est qu’à la fin qu’il a pu comprendre qu’il avait libéré tant d’énergie et qu’il avait fait prendre conscience à l’humanité d’une telle force destructrice : l’énergie atomique – et que si l’humanité se détruit elle-même, il sera forcément l’une des personnes les plus responsables.
Le cadre même de la science est de conquérir la nature. C’est la terminologie même de la science : la conquête de la nature. Nous devons dominer la nature et détruire tous les mystères de la nature, et nous devons trouver toutes les clés du pouvoir, où qu’il se trouve. Mais cette idée même t’éloigne de la nature, elle te rend antagoniste à elle et elle devient destructrice. L’écologie de la terre a été détruite par cette quête de pouvoir. À l’extérieur, à l’intérieur – les deux – le rythme naturel de la vie est perturbé. »

Quelle est l’erreur fondamentale que les scientifiques ont commise ?
« Ils ont développé de grandes technologies, mais ils ont oublié que même les plus grands progrès technologiques ne rendront pas l’homme plus heureux, plus pacifique, plus aimant, plus compatissant.
La conscience de l’homme n’a pas progressé au même rythme que ses progrès scientifiques et cela a été la cause de toutes les anciennes civilisations qui se sont détruites. Il n’y avait pas de cause extérieure, pas d’ennemi extérieur – l’ennemi était à l’intérieur de l’homme. Il a créé des monstres en ce qui concerne les machines, mais il est lui-même resté très attardé, inconscient, presque endormi. Et il est très dangereux de donner autant de pouvoir à des personnes inconscientes. »

Pourquoi cette distorsion de la science s’est-elle produite ?
« La raison est un déséquilibre dans notre évolution. Nous continuons à développer la technologie scientifique sans nous soucier du tout que notre conscience évolue également dans la même proportion. En fait, notre conscience devrait être un peu en avance par rapport à nos progrès technologiques.
Si notre conscience était dans un état d’illumination… Dans les mains d’un Gautam Bouddha, les armes nucléaires ne sont plus dangereuses. Dans les mains d’un Gautam Bouddha, les armes nucléaires seront transformées en une force créative, car la force est toujours neutre ; soit tu peux détruire avec elle, soit tu peux trouver des moyens de créer quelque chose. Mais pour l’instant, nos pouvoirs sont grands et notre humanité est toute petite. C’est comme si nous avions mis des bombes dans les mains d’enfants, pour qu’ils jouent avec. »

Que doit-il se passer pour résoudre ce déséquilibre dans notre évolution ?
« L’humanité souffre de trop de pouvoir. La technologie, la science – elles ont donné un immense pouvoir à l’homme et l’homme est en état de folie. L’homme n’a pas de méditation, pas de silence, pas de paix en lui. Il ne sait rien de la conscience – c’est pourquoi nous sommes au bord du gouffre. À tout moment, le monde peut plonger dans un acte suicidaire, un suicide global est possible.
Dans le passé, les guerres n’étaient jamais aussi dangereuses. Elles étaient locales. Maintenant, il s’agira d’une guerre totale. Elle peut consumer non seulement l’humanité, mais aussi tous les animaux, les arbres, toute vie sur cette terre peut s’évaporer en quelques heures ou même en quelques minutes.
Pour la première fois, l’humanité a un immense besoin de méditation, pour équilibrer ce que la technologie a apporté. »

Existe-t-il une solution à cette catastrophe potentielle ?
« S’il n’y a qu’une seule science de la réalité objective, comment peut-il y avoir plusieurs religions de la réalité intérieure, de la réalité subjective ? Si la vérité objective est une, il n’y a rien comme la physique hindoue ou la chimie chrétienne ou la biologie bouddhiste ou les mathématiques mahométanes. Si la réalité objective est une, que tu fasses des expérimentations en Inde, en Russie ou en Amérique, cela ne fait aucune différence, tu arriveras à la même conclusion. Alors comment se fait-il que la réalité subjective soit divisée en trois cents religions ? »

« S’il n’y a qu’une seule science, il ne peut y avoir qu’une seule religion. Si une seule science suffit pour explorer le monde objectif, une seule religion suffit pour explorer le monde intérieur de l’homme. Et cette seule religion n’a pas besoin d’être accompagnée d’un adjectif : christianisme, hindouisme, taoïsme ou autre.
Tout comme la science est simplement la science, la religion est simplement la religion. En fait, selon moi, il n’y a qu’une seule science avec deux dimensions : une dimension portant sur le monde extérieur, l’autre dimension portant sur le monde intérieur. Nous pouvons même nous débarrasser du mot religion.
C’est une règle fondamentale de la science : il faut utiliser un minimum d’hypothèses. Alors pourquoi utiliser deux mots ? Un seul mot suffit. Et science est un beau mot, il signifie ‘connaître’.
Connaître l’autre est un aspect, se connaître soi-même est un autre aspect ; mais connaître couvre les deux. »

Und wenn es interpretiert wird, ist es weder unschuldig noch natürlich. Die Natur an sich ist unschuldig. Aber wenn die Menschheit sich ihrer bewusst wird, beginnt er, sie zu interpretieren, und die Interpretation selbst bringt viele Konzepte von Schuld, Sünde, Moral und Unmoral hervor.
Die Geschichte von Adam und Eva besagt, dass sie sich zum ersten Mal ihrer Nacktheit bewusst wurden und sich schämten, als sie vom Baum der Erkenntnis aßen. Sie waren nackt, aber es war ihnen nie bewusst gewesen. Die Bewusstheit, die eigentliche Bewusstheit kreiert einen Abstand. In dem Moment, in dem du dir einer Sache bewusst wirst, fängst du an zu urteilen. Dann bist du von ihr getrennt. Zum Beispiel: Adam war nackt. Jedes Tier um ihn herum war nackt, aber kein Tier war sich seiner Nacktheit bewusst. Adam wurde bewusst, und mit diesem Bewusstsein wurde Adam einzigartig. Nackt zu sein bedeutete, wie ein Tier zu sein, und Adam wollte natürlich kein Tier sein. Kein Mensch mag es, obwohl jeder Mensch es ist.”

Ich sage euch, der Mensch muss die Natur erfüllen – und das kann kein Tier. Das ist der Unterschied.
Die Religionen waren listig, sie haben die Menschen getäuscht und betrogen. Sie haben unterschieden: Tiere sind natürlich, aber du musst deine Natur überwinden. Kein Tier kann fasten, du kannst kein Tier davon überzeugen, dass Fasten etwas Göttliches ist. Ein Tier weiß nur, dass es hungrig ist, es kennt den Unterschied zwischen Fasten und Hungern nicht. Du kannst kein Tier davon überzeugen, gegen seine Natur zu handeln.
Dies gab den sogenannten religiösen Menschen eine Chance, weil der Mensch zumindest gegen seine Natur angehen kann. Er wird niemals siegen, aber er kann gegen sie angehen. Aber er wird die Natur nicht zerstören, er wird nur sich selbst zerstören.
So hat der Mensch sich selbst zerstört – all seine Freude, all seine Liebe, all seine Würde – und er ist nichts Höheres als ein Tier geworden, er ist niedriger geworden, auf jede erdenkliche Weise.“

Aber dieselbe Idee findest du überall – in der Wissenschaft, und sogar die sogenannten religiösen Menschen sprechen weiterhin von Willenskraft. Hunderte von Büchern wurden über Willenskraft geschrieben. Es ist reine Verschwendung, und nicht nur eine Verschwendung, es vergiftet die Menschen. Leute wie Dale Carnegie und Napoleon Hill vergiften sie weiter: How to Win Friends and Influence People. Im Grunde ist die Idee dieselbe: wie man gewinnt, wie man beeinflusst.
Napoleon Hill hat ein Buch geschrieben: Think and Grow Rich. Und was ist das Geheimnis des Reichwerdens? Wenn du hinschaust, wirst du feststellen, dass es Willenskraft ist. Das ganze Geheimnis, das magische Geheimnis ist Willenskraft. Aber Willenskraft ist nur ein anderer Name für Ego power – aber das Ego ist machtlos, es hat keine Macht. Also kämpfen die Menschen unnötigerweise weiter, kämpfen miteinander, konkurrieren miteinander, und das Endergebnis ist, dass alle unglücklich sind.“

Es ist so weit gekommen, dass Menschen wie Albert Einstein das Gefühl haben, ein Verbrechen gegen die Menschheit begangen zu haben. In seinen letzten Lebenstagen wurde er gefragt: ‚Wenn du wieder zur Welt kämest, was würdest du gerne werden?‘
Er sagte: ‚Nie wieder Physiker, nie wieder Wissenschaftler. Vielmehr möchte ich Klempner werden.‘
Er war ein sehr sensibler Mann, er hat viel verstanden. Und erst am Ende konnte er verstehen, dass er so viel Energie freigesetzt und die Menschheit auf eine so zerstörerische Kraft – die Atomenergie – aufmerksam gemacht hat, dass er zwangsläufig die größte Verantwortung daran mitträgt, wenn die Menschheit sich selbst zerstört.
Der eigentliche Rahmen der Wissenschaft ist es, die Natur zu erobern. Die eigentliche Terminologie der Wissenschaft ist die Eroberung der Natur. Wir müssen die Natur überwältigen, wir müssen alle Geheimnisse der Natur zerstören, und wir müssen alle Schlüssel der Macht finden, wo immer sie auch sind. Aber die bloße Idee entfernt dich von der Natur, macht dich ihr gegenüber antagonistisch und wird destruktiv. Durch dieses Machtstreben wurde die Ökologie der Erde zerstört. Außen und innen – beides – der natürliche Lebensrhythmus ist gestört.“

Was ist der grundlegende Fehler, den die Wissenschaftler gemacht haben?
„Sie haben großartige Technologien entwickelt, aber sie haben vergessen, dass selbst der größte technologische Fortschritt den Menschen nicht glücklicher, friedlicher, liebevoller, mitfühlender macht.
Das Bewusstsein des Menschen ist nicht mit der gleichen Geschwindigkeit gewachsen wie sein wissenschaftlicher Fortschritt, und das war die Ursache dafür, dass sich alle alten Zivilisationen selbst zerstört haben. Es gab keine äußeren Ursachen, keinen äußeren Feind – der Feind war im Menschen selbst. Er erschuf maschinelle Ungeheuer, aber er selbst blieb zurück, ohne Bewusstheit, fast im Schlaf. Und es ist sehr gefährlich, unbewussten Menschen so viel Macht zu geben.“

Wie kam es zu dieser Entwicklung der Wissenschaft?
„Der Grund dafür ist ein Ungleichgewicht in unserer Evolution. Wir fahren fort, wissenschaftliche Technologien zu entwickeln, ohne uns überhaupt darum zu kümmern, dass sich auch unser Bewusstsein im gleichen Maße entwickeln sollte. Tatsächlich sollte unser Bewusstsein unserem technologischen Fortschritt immer ein wenig voraus sein.
Wenn unser Bewusstsein im Zustand der Erleuchtung wäre … In den Händen eines Gautam Buddhas sind Atomwaffen nicht länger gefährlich. In den Händen eines Gautam Buddhas werden Nuklearwaffen zu einer kreativen Kraft – denn Kraft ist immer neutral. Entweder man kann damit zerstören oder man findet Wege, etwas zu erschaffen. Aber im Moment sind unsere Kräfte groß und unsere Menschlichkeit ist sehr klein. Es ist, als hätten wir Bomben in die Hände von Kindern gegeben, damit sie damit spielen können.“

Was muss passieren, um dieses Ungleichgewicht in unserer Evolution aufzulösen?
„Die Menschheit leidet unter zu viel Macht. Die Technologie, die Wissenschaft – sie haben dem Menschen immense Macht verliehen, und der Mensch ist verrückt. Der Mensch hat keine Meditation, keine Stille, keinen Frieden in sich. Er weiß nichts über Bewusstheit – darum stehen wir am Abgrund. Jeden Moment kann die Welt in einen selbstmörderischen Akt stürzen, in globalen Selbstmord.
Früher waren Kriege noch nie so gefährlich. Sie waren lokal begrenzt. Jetzt wird es einen totalen Krieg geben. Er kann nicht nur die Menschheit vernichten, alle Tiere, Bäume, alles Leben auf dieser Erde kann innerhalb von Stunden oder sogar innerhalb von Minuten verdunsten.
Zum ersten Mal hat die Menschheit einen immensen Bedarf an Meditation, um das auszugleichen, was die Technologie angerichtet hat.“

Gibt es eine Lösung für diese potenzielle Katastrophe?
„Wenn es nur eine Wissenschaft über die objektive Realität gibt, wie kann es dann viele Religionen über die innere Realität, die subjektive Realität geben? Wenn die objektive Wahrheit nur eine ist – es gibt keine hinduistische Physik oder christliche Chemie oder buddhistische Biologie oder mohammedanische Mathematik. Wenn die objektive Realität nur eine ist, macht es keinen Unterschied, ob du in Indien oder in Russland oder in Amerika experimentierst, du wirst zu demselben Schluss kommen. Wie kann es dann sein, dass die subjektive Realität in dreihundert Religionen aufgeteilt ist?“

„Wenn es nur eine Wissenschaft gibt, kann es nur eine Religion geben. Wenn eine Wissenschaft ausreicht, um die objektive Welt zu erforschen, reicht eine Religion aus, um die innere Welt des Menschen zu erforschen. Und diese eine Religion braucht kein Adjektiv – Christentum, Hinduismus, Taoismus oder irgendetwas anderes.

Es ist eine Grundregel der Wissenschaft, dass es ein Minimum an Hypothesen geben sollte. Warum also zwei Wörter verwenden? Ein Wort genügt. Und Wissenschaft ist ein schönes Wort, es bedeutet ‚Wissen‘.
Den anderen zu kennen ist ein Aspekt, sich selbst zu kennen ist ein anderer Aspekt; aber Wissen deckt beides ab.“
