Why do I react against the management and the people in positions involved in your work?
“It is simple. Because you want to be in the management around me, in a powerful position, that’s why you react.
“You are not a humble person. You are not here for meditation. Here, too, you are a power seeker. It is so clear that if you cannot see it, then you must be utterly blind.
“Some kind of management is necessary; it is functional. It is a small place. If one thousand people enter into this house then some kind of management will be needed, and anybody who will be managing will look as if he has power. But what power? It is simply functional, it is utilitarian. And you are reacting to it.
“You can be put into management – others will be reacting to you then. Then everybody can be put into management; then whom are you going to manage? So just don’t be stupid. The people who are managing are managing perfectly well, and they are managing humbly – nobody is arrogant, nobody is trying to dominate. But there are moments when they have to show you that a few things cannot be done. What do you want?
“I was in Athens. In my press conference there were forty police officers. Now I said, ‘Is it a police conference? With whom am I going to talk?’ These were the people against whom I had to talk, and they had not allowed anybody else. Only police officers were there in the conference. And the press people.
“If there is no management here, you will see all the CID’s and all the police officers sitting here just wasting my time – because what I am to say is of no use to them. And they are wasting their time. So somebody has to watch every face and see how many police officers are to be allowed. A few have to be allowed; they are there. Even without knowing, I can say who is a police officer, because he is not listening – he is looking here, he is looking there. What is he doing? He is not here at all.
“So it is nothing, it is simply your ego. Drop it. It is nothing worth discussing; simply drop it.”

ध्यान या सत्ता के खेल?
ओशो,
मैं प्रबंधन और आपके आस-पास के पदों पर बैठे लोगों के ख़िलाफ़ प्रतिक्रिया क्यों करता हूँ?
बात सीधी साफ है. क्योंकि आप मेरे आसपास प्रबंधन में, एक शक्तिशाली स्थिति में रहना चाहते हैं, इसीलिए आप प्रतिक्रिया करते हैं।
आप विनम्र व्यक्ति नहीं हैं. आप यहां ध्यान के लिए नहीं हैं। यहाँ भी, आप एक सत्ता-साधक हैं। यह इतना साफ है कि यदि आप इसे नहीं देख सकते तो आप बिल्कुल अंधे होंगे।
ध्यान रहे, कोई न कोई प्रबंधन आवश्यक है; यह कार्यसंबंधी है. यह एक छोटी सी जगह है. यदि हजार लोग इस घर में प्रवेश करेंगे तो किसी प्रकार के प्रबंधन की आवश्यकता होगी ही, और जो भी प्रबंधन करेगा वह ऐसा दिखेगा जैसे उसके पास शक्ति है। लेकिन कौन सी शक्ति? यह बस कार्य संबंधी है, यह उपयोगितावादी है। और आप इसका विरोध रहे हैं.
आपको प्रबंधन में लगाया जा सकता है – तब अन्य लोग आप पर प्रतिक्रिया देंगे। तब हर किसी को प्रबंधन में लगाया जा सकता है; तो फिर आप किसे संभालेंगे? मूर्खत़ा छोड़ो . जो लोग प्रबंधन कर रहे हैं वे पूरी तरह से अच्छी तरह से प्रबंधन कर रहे हैं, और वे विनम्रता से प्रबंधन कर रहे हैं – कोई भी अहंकारी नहीं है, कोई भी हावी होने की कोशिश नहीं कर रहा है। लेकिन ऐसे क्षण भी आते हैं जब उन्हें आपको दिखाना पड़ता है कि कुछ चीजें नहीं की जा सकतीं। आप क्या चाहते हैं?
मैं एथेंस में था. मेरी प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में चालीस पुलिस अधिकारी मौजूद थे. अब मैंने कहा, “क्या यह पुलिस सम्मेलन है? मैं किससे बात करने जा रहा हूं?” ये वो लोग थे जिनके खिलाफ मुझे बात करनी थी और उन्होंने किसी और को बोलने की इजाजत नहीं दी थी.’ सम्मेलन में केवल पुलिस अधिकारी और प्रेस के लोग थे।
यदि यहां कोई प्रबंधन नहीं है, तो आप देखेंगे कि यहां बैठे सभी सीआईडी और सभी पुलिस अधिकारी सिर्फ मेरा समय बर्बाद कर रहे हैं – क्योंकि मुझे जो कहना है वह उनके लिए कोई मायने नहीं रखता। और वे अपना समय बर्बाद कर रहे हैं. इसलिए किसी को हर चेहरे पर नजर रखनी होगी और देखना होगा कि कितने पुलिस अधिकारियों को अनुमति दी जानी है। कुछ को अनुमति देनी होगी; वे यहाँ हैं। बिना जाने भी मैं कह सकता हूं कि पुलिस अधिकारी कौन है, क्योंकि वह सुन नहीं रहा है – वह यहां देख रहा है, वह वहां देख रहा है। वह क्या कर रहा है? वह यहां है ही नहीं.
तो यह कुछ भी नहीं है, यह बस आपका अहंकार है। इसे छोड़ दो। इसमें चर्चा करने लायक कुछ भी नहीं है; बस इसे छोड़ दो।

Meditazione o Giochi di Potere?
Osho,
perché tendo a reagire contro l’amministrazione e le persone che hanno ruoli di management intorno a te?
“Semplicemente perché vorresti far parte del quadro dirigente che esiste intorno a me, in una posizione di potere: ecco perché reagisci.
Non sei una persona umile. Non sei qui per meditare; anche qui, rimani una persona che ricerca il potere. È così evidente: se non riesci a vederlo, devi proprio essere assolutamente cieco.
Una forma di organizzazione è necessaria, è funzionale. Il posto è piccolo, se un migliaio di persone deve entrare in questa casa, una sorta di management sarà necessario; e chiunque si trovi a gestire la situazione sembrerà avere potere. Ma quale potere? È un semplice compito che ha una sua utilità, è pratico, tu però hai da ridire, reagisci.
Potresti essere messo tu in quell’amministrazione, e in quel caso qualcun altro reagirà. Ebbene, si potrebbe mettere tutti a gestire la situazione, ma in quel caso chi sarebbe gestito?
Non essere dunque così stupido. Le persone che amministrano le cose lo fanno benissimo, e le gestiscono con umiltà – nessuno è arrogante, nessuno cerca di dominare. D’altra parte, ci sono momenti in cui devono farti presente che ci sono alcune cose che non si possono fare.
Cosa vorresti?
Quando ero ad Atene, alla mia conferenza stampa erano presenti quaranta poliziotti; per cui ho chiesto: «È una conferenza per la polizia? A chi dovrei parlare?» Quelle erano le persone contro le quali dovevo parlare, e avevano vietato l’ingresso a chiunque altro. Alla conferenza c’erano solo ufficiali di polizia e i giornalisti.
Se qui non ci fosse alcun management, vedresti tutti gli uomini del dipartimento di polizia e della squadra investigativa criminale seduti in sala, che sprecherebbero semplicemente il mio tempo – perché ciò che devo dire per loro non è di alcuna utilità. Inoltre, anche loro sprecherebbero il loro tempo!
Pertanto, qualcuno deve guardare in faccia tutti coloro che entrano e decidere quanti poliziotti si debbano far entrare. A qualcuno dev’essere permesso l’ingresso, e costoro sono presenti. E anche senza conoscerli, posso vedere chi è un poliziotto: infatti, non sta ascoltando, lancia occhiate a destra e a sinistra. Cosa sta facendo? Non è affatto presente.
Dunque, non è nulla di che: è soltanto il tuo ego. Lascialo andare. Non ha alcun senso discuterne: lascialo semplicemente andare.”

Pourquoi est-ce que je réagis contre le management et les personnes en position de pouvoir autour de vous ?
“C’est simple. Parce que tu veux être dans le management autour de moi, dans une position de pouvoir, c’est pourquoi tu réagis.
Tu n’es pas une personne humble. Tu n’es pas là pour méditer. Ici aussi, tu es en quête de pouvoir. C’est tellement clair que si tu ne peux pas le voir, c’est que tu es complètement aveugle.
Une certaine forme de gestion est nécessaire ; c’est fonctionnel. C’est un endroit petit. Si mille personnes entrent dans cette maison, alors une certaine forme de gestion sera nécessaire, et celui qui gérera aura l’air d’avoir du pouvoir. Mais quel pouvoir ? C’est simplement fonctionnel, c’est utilitaire. Et tu réagis à cela.
Tu peux être mis au management – les autres réagiront alors à toi. On peut mettre n’importe qui à la direction ; alors qui vas-tu diriger ? Alors ne soit pas stupide. Les personnes qui dirigent gèrent parfaitement bien, et elles gèrent humblement – personne n’est arrogant, personne n’essaie de dominer. Mais il y a des moments où ils doivent te montrer que certaines choses ne peuvent pas être faites. Que veux-tu ?
J’étais à Athènes. Lors de ma conférence de presse, il y avait quarante policiers. J’ai dit : ” Est-ce une conférence de police ? Avec qui vais-je parler ?” Ils étaient les personnes contre lesquelles je devais parler, et ils n’avaient autorisé personne d’autre. Il n’y avait que des policiers à la conférence. Et les gens de la presse.
S’il n’y a pas de management ici, tu verras tous les CID et tous les officiers de police assis ici à me faire perdre mon temps – parce que ce que j’ai à dire ne leur est d’aucune utilité. Et ils perdent leur temps. Quelqu’un doit donc scruter tous les visages et voir combien d’officiers de police doivent être autorisés. Un petit nombre doit être autorisé ; ils sont là. Même sans le savoir, je peux dire qui est un policier, parce qu’il n’écoute pas – il regarde par-ci, par-là. Que fait-il ? Il n’est pas là du tout.
Donc ce n’est rien, c’est simplement ton ego. Laisse-le tomber. Cela ne vaut pas la peine d’en discuter ; laisse-le simplement tomber.”
